A movie to give a voice to young adults from extreme poverty!
With this newsletter you will embark with the Youth Visions team to shoot a movie and meet youth around the world who are taking action to build a desirable future.
What is the movie about?
We are moving towards an undesirable future due to Climate Change, Economical and Political uncertainties. More and more young and not-so-young people are getting involved to tackle it, but 1/3 of young adults are not heard: the youth from the slums.
Yet, they have become experts in emergency and resilience, living in the midst of natural disasters and political crises. We believe we need them to build a desirable future.
So, we decided to make a movie to give them a voice!
The film will relate the daily life of five young people who are questioning their future: What do they dream of and what are the constraints? On the threshold of their adult lives, what are the choices available to them? The journey of these five "anonymous" people converges in New York to share their vision of the future with the United Nations.
3 objectives:
To represent young adults living in extreme poverty
To raise awareness among them on citizenship issues
To be involved in the construction of a desirable future
